With meals that only require a few minutes in the microwave for prep, Soulara truly hits the mark as a winning vegan meal delivery service.

The Benefit of Getting Your Vegan Meals Delivered

If you are currently following a vegan diet, you’ll know it can be a very time-consuming way of living (not that that should stop you!)

However, the reality is the prep and cooking of whole foods often takes longer because there are more ingredients involved to make sure you’re hitting your daily nutritional needs, while when eating out, there aren’t always abundant dining options.

That’s where meal delivery providers become a lifesaver for vegans. Vegan meal delivery services not only take away the often-time-consuming nature of living a vegan lifestyle, but it can also help you enjoy a range of plant-based and delicious meals, keeping your taste buds and your gut healthy and happy.

How’d We Create This List?

We based our list on the following criteria:

  • 💰 Cost: What’s the cost per serving?
  • 🌱 Vegan focus: Does the company cater exclusively to vegans, or does it also offer meals for other diets?
  • ⚖️ Customisation: Can you personalise your order?
  • 📅 Subscription: Do you need a subscription, or can you buy on an as-needed basis?
  • 🚐 Delivery location: Where do they deliver?

FAQ

What is a vegan diet?

A vegan diet means eating foods that do not derive from any part of an animal, including animal by-products (like honey or milk or eggs). It’s a diet that centres heavily on plant-based foods such as vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, seeds etc.

Are vegan and plant-based the same?

They certainly share similarities. Vegan diets eliminate all animal products, while plant-based diets do not necessarily eliminate animal products, but focus on eating mostly plants, such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains. For example, people who eat a plant-based diet might still eat milk or cheese, or eggs.

Are vegan meals/vegan ready-made meals healthy?

Not necessarily! People often equate veganism with health, but any kind of diet or way of eating can have unhealthy components to it (like being heavily processed etc). It’s always best to look at what’s in the meal, read the nutrition label and consider your own health goals when ordering vegan ready-made meals.

What’s the cheapest vegan meal delivery provider?

Herbidoor possibly offers some of the most competitive vegan meal pricing, starting at $12.50 per meal.

Does Hello Fresh have a vegan meal kit?

At present, Hello Fresh does not have a vegan meal kit. They do offer a veggie plan option, which is good for those who are vegetarian or are looking to start reducing meat and animal product consumption.

What’s the best vegan meal delivery in Sydney?

My Muscle Chef is one of the most popular vegan meal delivery services in Sydney, offering a range of meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Delivery is available Australia wide too, so vegans across Australia can enjoy their meals.

What’s the best vegan meal delivery in Melbourne?

Garden of Vegan is one of the best vegan meal delivery providers in Melbourne, serving up a range of vegan-only meals with a focus on organic high quality ingredients. You can also purchase a range of essential pantry items, snacks and desserts! They ship almost Australia wide (except NT).

Final Verdict

I’ve tried these companies, and they were fine if not for all the plastic waste! Much prefer companies like http://www.rootedau.com up here – their 100% home-compostable packaging is amazing, like their food!
