How Missy Elliott Lost 30kg
Due to Grave’s Disease, Missy Elliott had to work extremely hard to maintain her health.
Weighing in at 89kg, Missy knew she needed to lose weight to help keep her disease under control.
In 2018, Elliott unveiled a new image of herself, one in which she appeared lighter, healthier, and had much more youthful-looking skin
The now 51 year old shed 30kg with a diet and lifestyle change, and now weighs in at 59kg and is 157cm tall.
No Bread & Soda for Four Months
In order to shed the weight, Missy restricted her intake of all calorie-dense foods for four months, avoiding her vices like soda, juice and bread.
She also increased her water intake that helped give her glowing and more youthful skin, and now says she only eats two cupcakes a month as a special treat.
She posted to Instagram to reveal her dramatic weight loss, with the star writing: “Proudly to say it’s been 4 months I have only drank water, no other juices or soda & I cut out bread & Lord knows that’s been the hardest for me! See I’ve NEVER been a water drinker but this have helped my skin it really restore glow back & I don’t feel sluggish NOW the other thing if I can only cut out JUNK FOOD shit that’s my weakness #Facts But if I can give up those other things I’ll fight that too! Maybe two cupcakes a month.”
Missy Elliot’s Weight Loss Workout Routine
To lose the weight, Missy Elliot also followed the T25 workouts designed by Shaun T., a renowned celebrity trainer. The workouts are specially created for those people who don’t have much time to spare and want to get more out of their workouts in a short time span.
These workouts can be done in 25 minutes and most of the moves are not repetitive and cover all the basic forms of exercises like core stability, cardio and toning.
